Metrel MD9070 Insulation / Continuity Digital Multimeter
The Metrel MD9070 Insulation / Continuity Digital Multimeter is a versatile true RMS multimeter capable of measuring a wide range of electrical variables. It is capable of measuring AC/DC voltage (1000V), resistance (60MΩ), and frequency as well as performing earth bond tests, continuity/diode tests, and insulation resistance tests at 50V, 100V, 250V and 1kV. VFD functionality allows it to be used on motor drives and the multimeter can also perform PI / DAR tests. This makes it suitable for high-level industrial and electronic testing, field servicing, and heavy-duty electrical testing.
The Metrel MD9070 is operated using a clearly labelled rotary dial and a set of push buttons. Ranging can be manual or automatic and results are shown on the large digital screen. Data hold can freeze a reading on screen and min/max recording is also possible. Insulation resistance testing can utilise a handy ‘compare’ function.
The multimeter is rated as Cat IV 600V and comes with a range of useful accessories including test leads, test probes and crocodile clips alongside a useful remote probe that can be used to trigger tests with its integrated button. It is covered by a 12-month warranty.
