Megger MIT220 Insulation and Continuity Tester
The Megger MIT220 Insulation and Continuity Tester is a portable and lightweight insulation and continuity tester that includes both a digital and analogue display.
It is autoranging, capable of performing 250V and 500V insulation testing with 1000MΩ range and also includes auto discharge and live circuit voltage display. The MIT220 can carry out continuity testing @ >200mA and performs continuity testing automatically.
A built-in voltmeter inside the MIT220 is designed to kick in whenever an AC or DC voltage greater than 25V is detected and this will also generate a warning. Circuits with over 50V will inhibit insulation testing, ensuring that there is no danger.
The tester is sturdy and built for use in environments where it might be subjected to stresses and drops etc and it runs on 6 x standard AA batteries or can run on NiMh rechargeable type batteries.
This MIT220 meets the international standards of EN61557 for rated test voltage into a 1mA load. It also conforms to IEC61010 and has CAT III 600V safety rating.
