Amprobe SM10 Sound Level Meter
The Amprobe SM10 Sound Level Meter is designed to assure compliance with safety codes and regulations and perform acoustic analysis by safety engineers, quality control, safety offices, and health officials. This meter uses two weighting filters as required by IEC651 and ANSI S1.4 Type 2 for audio filtering.
The A weighting filter is for general noise sound levels and the C weighting filter is for measuring the sound level of acoustic material control in any number of environments.
The measurement range of this tester is 30-130db when using A weighting and 35-130db when using C weighting. This means you can comfortably gain readings of sound levels from the range of below a normal human conversation way up to extremely loud noises such as jet engines. The frequency range of this device 31.5Hz – 8kHz and it features both slow and fast response times to help you calculate trends easily in the levels of noise.
